Registry Hack for Resolution and better Windows7 compatibility:

As always, editing your registry is dangerous and you do so at your own risk!

- Install Homeworld
- I have the "Game of the Year" Edition. I have not installed any additional patches.

- Go into regedit
- Find key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sierra On-Line\Homeworld" *
- Change "screenHeight" key to your screen height (800 in my case)
- Change "screenWidth" key to your screen height (1280 in my case)
- Make sure the "base" is in decimal

* Key for Windows 7 (64bit): "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sierra On-Line\Homeworld"

PS. I will update out Troubleshooting information with new findings as they appear.

The day is drawing closer...

...when many will receive this

Homeworld Remastered

May be time to get some action in to this site

With Gearbox's Remastering of Homeworld I imagine it might be relevant to pick up some info and materials here. Vote here for what version of the Remastered Edition you prefer.

Updated CMS

The CMS PHP-Fusion has been updated to release 7.02.07.

Measures against Spam registrations

Due to a large number of Spambot registrations I have disabled the Registration system until I have a better control over this. Those with a genuine interest in Homeworld wanting access to this site, should know where I can be contacted.

Apologies for any inconveniences.

Many new members...

Given the preparations for the site upgrade I have not looked in to activation of new members for a while. I am still surprised over the amount of registrations being done on this site over the years. Of course, some are spam bots, hence the manual activation required to try to avoid these.

Despite that late activation (I am still on it) I welcome you all and hope you will find the information here useful.

As you may see I (if you pop in and out of this site from time to time) am working on the CSS of this theme to make it look "homewordly" so expect some things looking a bit odd while doing it.

Upgrade of site...

Well, finally decided on a small revamp.

Somethings obviously need coding to fall into place again and I need more blue and yellow in this layout. But whats new about that?

Vote for Relic at The Escapist

The Escapist Magazine is organizing some Forum Voting on different developers. Relic WON AGAINS BLIZZARD! but more voting is coming and we need to round up every single voter and fan.Go here, register, find active vote in the Forum threads, go vote!

Activation of members

As a security precaution I enabled the Administration Activation of Members a few days ago, but then I forgot about it. So I apologize to those who were activated today and welcome them.

NewsSome of You may have noticed a new site, www.homeworldtrinity.org being a complement to this site. Complement?
Well, see it this way, the great looks and graphical content of HWTRI is meant to pimp Homeworld. Even more, if possible. HWACCESS will remain and will still have what You see, I am not in for throwing it away. But, I enhance the focus on Mod hosting and resource gathering a bit more here, and concentrate on newsworthy items from the Homeworld modding universe at HWTRI. Like news on the release of Onslaught v. 4.1 or new version of Complex...that kind of stuff.

As it is I have eased up some slightly clutterish items on the frontpage of this site, and will do some more cleanup when possible. Suggestions are welcome.

And yes, the ads I get offers about will be posted. I know that AOL is hardly relevant in Europe, but those ads actually generates some cash. So bear with them. AOL will be replaced with something else and that again. Campaigns.

Adblock blocks my banners

Another noteworthy thing is related to the Adblock extension of Mozilla/Firefox. I just today noticed that top banner will not show if enabled for this site. If You use Adblock, please consider trusting my site...

New Ubisoft AD's
I got an offer from Ubisoft to host some ad's so here they are. Reorganized a few panels to make them fit in nicely. Please PM me if they are VERY annoying.
